Arsenal are prepared to try and take advantage of Inter’s current financial situation by making a move for Achraf Hakimi, according to a British media report.

As per The Daily Mirror, Arsenal have kept tabs on the 22-year-old Moroccan international for an extended period of time.

Inter are going through a delicate financial moment with Suning weighing up selling the club and as a result the future of players at the club are uncertain, Hakimi included.

The Mirror’s report goes on to reference a story from the Telegraph which said Hakimi, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2024-25 season, could be available for £40 million, approximately €46 million.

Hakimi would be open to a move to the Gunners, who have seemingly identified him as their priority target for right-back.

He has starred for Inter in his first season with the club and has been a virtually ever present feature in the side of Inter boss Antonio Conte.

This season Hakimi has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided six assists for his teammates.
