Christian Eriksen has become crucial in Inter coach Antonio Conte’s system, an Italian media report has argued today.

Tuttosport’s print edition claim that the Dane has proven to be pivotal for the Nerazzurri in recent weeks, arguing that Inter were a different team without him in the side during the first half against Atalanta on Monday.

Eriksen did not start in that match but came on and was a lot more positive than Arturo Vidal, who left a lot to be desired on his return to the starting line-up.

The impression now is that without Eriksen, it becomes more complicated for Conte to impose his tactical project.

Inter’s winner against Atalanta came from a corner kick and Inter have shown they have the physicality to do it even more consistently and Eriksen can be very useful in this regard given his ability.

This season Eriksen has scored one goal in 23 appearances to date, against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.
