Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella has been recognised by Forbes magazine as one of Italy’s 100 most influential under-30s in 2021.

Forbes Italia put together the list every year to celebrate those who are making an important contribution to the nation’s culture and are changing the way people work, care, invest, eat and buy things in Italy.

There are several entrepreneurs named among the list alongside some famous singers and sportspeople, with Barella a particular standout in this regard.

The only other sportsperson to have made the list is Italian athlete Larissa Iapichino.

Barella is now into his second season with Inter and has taken things up a level and has without doubt been one of the team’s best performing players during the course of this campaign.

The 24-year-old, who is reportedly in contention to become the Nerazzurri’s next captain after Samir Handanovic, has scored three goals and provided 10 assists in 36 appearances this term.
