Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia is facing an uncertain future with the club, according to an Italian media report today.
As per FCInterNews.it, there has been no contact over a contract extension for the Italian, whose current deal with the Nerazzurri expires at the end of this season.
Ranocchia may not play much these days but is still a more than viable back-up option and is considered a fundamental player to have in Antonio Conte’s dressing room.
But the former club captain could be tempted to leave Inter should another team in Serie A come in and offer him more regular game time – even if he does have a deep attachment to Inter, who he has been with since 2011.
It now remains to be seen whether Ranocchia’s Inter adventure will come to an end, hopefully with a Serie A winners medal, or if he will be here next season to potentially help Conte’s side defend their crown.
The 33-year-old has made just five appearances in all competitions this season, providing one assist in Inter’s 2-0 win at Genoa on October 24.
