Christian Eriksen will return to Inter’s starting line-up for Sunday’s Serie A match away to Torino, according to an Italian media report this evening.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport, Eriksen will take the place of Arturo Vidal in midfield after Inter announced earlier that Vidal would undergo surgery tomorrow on his left knee.

Lautaro Martinez is not certain to start against Davide Nicola’s side, with Alexis Sanchez pushing to take his place in the team alongside Romelu Lukaku in the Inter attack.

The report from the Milan-based publication went on to explain that in addition to Vidal, Inter coach Antonio Conte will be unable to call upon defender Aleksandar Kolarov at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

Inter are six points clear at the top of the Serie A table with just 12 games left, but they will be without Conte on the touchline this weekend as he serves a one-game ban.

Inter’s probable starting line-up vs Torino (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Eriksen, Perisic; Lukaku, Lautaro .
