Antonio Conte is almost unbeatable when he only has to prepare for one game each week, as explained by his former assistant Angelo Alessio.

Inter are currently six points clear at the top of Serie A with 12 games to spare, having been knocked out of Europe altogether when they finished bottom of their UEFA Champions League group in December.

Alessio, who was Conte’s assistant at both Juventus and Chelsea, has pointed out what tends to happen when Conte has just one competition to focus on.

Speaking to TMW Radio today, he explained: “Inter’s form is clear to everyone, and with only one commitment a week Antonio prepares games brilliantly.

“He has the time to adjust every detail.

“We must note also that Inter have had very few injuries, a very important fact which allows them to rotate their players.

“At Juventus and Chelsea, when only competing in the league, we won the title.

“Now, I’m not saying it’s easy, but for how they play and for the enthusiasm I see in them, it will be hard for the others to stop them.

“Antonio is doing a great job.”

Inter are seen as big favourites to go all the way and win the Serie A title, but one thing Conte has not allowed anyone to do is get carried away.

Following the Nerazzurri’s priceless win at home to Atalanta on Monday, their seventh straight victory in the league, Conte was quick to insist that the team still have 12 finals ahead of them.
