Arturo Vidal has chosen a good time to have his knee operated, as highlighted by a leading Italian broadcaster today.
Inter announced this morning that the midfielder would undergo surgery on his left knee due to meniscal pain, potentially ruling him out for 25-30 days.
Sky Sport Italia have pointed out that Vidal will not miss as many games as he would have done in a typical month, due to the upcoming international break at the end of March.
The 33-year-old will definitely miss Inter’s matches against Torino and Sassuolo prior to the break, but he will attempt to be back for the Nerazzurri’s crucial Serie A match away at Napoli on April 18.
Vidal would also miss Inter’s games against Bologna and Cagliari after the international pause, were this timeframe to prove accurate.
The former Barcelona midfielder has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored two goals and provided two assists for Antonio Conte’s side.
He remains subject to reported interest from reigning Brazilian champions Flamengo for this summer’s transfer window.
