Inter might be about to lose Arturo Vidal for a month due to injury, according to a report from a leading Italian broadcaster.

As per a statement on the club’s website this afternoon, Vidal will undergo surgery at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano tomorrow to treat meniscal pain in his left knee.

The Nerazzurri did not provide an official timeframe for the Chilean midfielder’s recovery, but Sky Sport Italia have said Vidal could be out for around 25-30 days.

If this were to prove accurate, Vidal would miss Inter’s matches against Torino and Sassuolo before the March international break, as well as possibly the fixtures with Bologna and Cagliari at the start of April.

The 33-year-old has not featured much of late, having lost his place in the team to the revitalised Christian Eriksen, but he did return to the starting line-up for Inter’s match versus Atalanta on Monday.

Vidal largely disappointed with his performance, though, and was substituted by Antonio Conte shortly after half-time.

He has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored two goals and provided two assists.
