Paolo Valeri has been appointed as the referee for Sunday’s Serie A match between Torino and Inter at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

Antonio Conte’s side will be seeking an eighth straight league win as their bid to secure the Scudetto enters a crucial phase.

Valeri, who has refereed in Serie A since 2007, will have Sergio Ranghetti and Alessandro Lo Cicero as his assistants in Turin while Antonio Di Martino will be the fourth official.

Michael Fabbri will be in charge of VAR for the match and he will be assisted by Luca Mondin.

Sunday’s match will be the 14th that Valeri referees this season across all competitions and it will be the fourth time that he referees each side this season.

Valeri refereed Inter’s 3-1 win over Bologna on matchday 10, their 2-1 away loss to Sampdoria on matchday 16 and most recently the Coppa Italia quarter-final win over AC Milan in late January.

Inter head into this match sitting at the top of the table while Torino occupy 18th place, having dropped into the relegation zone after having two games postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak in their squad.
