Arturo Vidal underwent a successful knee operation this morning, as confirmed by Inter.

With a statement on the Nerazzurri’s website, the club said the Chilean had arthroscopic surgery for selective medial menisectomy on his left knee at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano (Milan).

The rehabilitation phase for the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona player will begin in next few days.

While Inter have not provided a timeline for return, a number of reports have stated that Vidal will be out for about a month and could return for Inter’s trip to Napoli on April 18.

Based on these estimations by the media, the 33-year-old will miss the games with Torino, Sassuolo, Bologna and Cagliari either side of the upcoming international break.

Vidal, who is under contract with Inter until the end of next season, has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored two goals and provided his teammates with two assists too.
