Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is an injury doubt for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Torino tomorrow and is likely to be replaced by Roberto Gagliardini.
The Nerazzurri look to maintain their lead at the top of the table when they visit the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, but coach Antonio Conte may need to reshuffle his midfield.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Eriksen reported inflammation in his knee during training and whilst he is expected to be fit to make the trip, Conte is reluctant to risk aggravating the injury further.
Instead, the Denmark international will be amongst the substitutes against the Granata and Gagliardini is the favourite to deputise, ahead of Stefano Sensi or Matias Vecino.
The duo have only recently returned from injuries themselves and whilst they are fit to feature, Conte is not expected to throw either of them in from the start.
