After seeing an approach for Lautaro Martinez fail, Barcelona have turned their attention to fellow Inter striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international has enjoyed a stellar season at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and has hit 18 Serie A goals as Inter sit six points clear of AC Milan at the top of the table.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has identified Lukaku as his top target for a transfer, having worked with the 27-year-old at Everton.
Lukaku has also attracted interest from Premier League leaders Manchester City, although the striker is thought to be keen to remain at Inter.
Barcelona have also looked at Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland and Lyon’s Netherlands international Memphis Depay, as they seek to replace Luis Suarez.
The Blaugrana had previously tracked Martinez, although the Argentine forward appears set to extend his contract at Inter.
Lukaku joined the Nerazzurri from Manchester United in 2019 and has scored 58 goals in 84 appearances.
