Inter coach Antonio Conte will opt against risking midfielder Christian Eriksen in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Torino tomorrow, with Roberto Gagliardini set to start.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Denmark international Eriksen trained separately from the rest of the squad over the past two days after complaining of inflammation in his knee.
As a result of this, Conte will include Eriksen in his squad for the trip to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, but will bench him in favour of Gagliardini, who will be joined in midfield by Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic.
Elsewhere, the coach will continue with his preferred strike partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, as Alexis Sanchez remains amongst the substitutes.
Samir Handanovic retains his place in goal, whilst the defence is expected to be made up of Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni. Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic are set to operate as wing-backs for the league leaders against the Granata.
