Torino have been boosted by the return of a number of players ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A match against Inter, but captain Andrea Belotti is likely to only be fit for the bench.
The Granata have been rocked by an outbreak of COVID-19, leading to postponements of matches against Sassuolo and Lazio, and take on league leaders Inter languishing in the relegation zone.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, striker Belotti returned a negative test on Thursday and was welcomed back into the squad.
However, he is not deemed fit enough to make the starting line-up and coach Davide Nicola will opt for Antonio Sanabria and Federico Bonazzoli in attack, although Belotti could play a role in the second half.
Meanwhile, Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Singo returned a negative test yesterday but is unlikely to feature against Inter, with Torino targeting Wednesday’s match against Sassuolo as more realistic.
Centre-back Nicolas Nkoulou remains out after continuing to test positive, whilst midfielder Tomas Rincon is suspended.
