Andrea Ranocchia: “Inter Is A Mature Team, We’ve Worked On Not Underestimating Teams”

Inter’s Italian central defender Andrea Ranocchia believes the Nerazzurri have matured and no longer underestimate their opponents, he told Italian media moments ago.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia ahead of kick-off in Match Day 27 of the Serie A at the Stadio Grande Torino in Turin, the former Nerazzurri captain underlined that the team have worked on not underestimating teams this last week.

“We have worked a lot on these days from this aspect. I don’t think so [that we underestimate teams]. Our team has to be mature and not succumb to these issues.

“We have to think about doing what we have to do, to win the game. To run more than our opponents and to have more motivation than our opponents.”

The former Genoa defender stated that the Nerazzurri are fully motivated, not just in today’s match but when heading into all games in order to keep the chasing pack at bay.

“Motivation is everything, in all the matches not just today. We have to think about our objectives, win the match, and to keep the other teams chasing us far away.”

The Nerazzurri are on a winning run having won their last 7 matches in the Serie A, including wins against Atalanta, AC Milan and Lazio.

Andrea Ranocchia joined Inter as far back as January 2011 from Genoa who co-owned him with the Nerazzurri and has since then featured 212 times across all competitions scoring 13 goals in the process.
