As Inter prepare to take on Torino this afternoon, the Nerazzurri can look back on the corresponding fixture in November as the start of their ascent to the top of Serie A.
Antonio Conte’s side currently sit six points clear of AC Milan at the summit and have won seven consecutive matches as they edge closer to a first Scudetto since 2010.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, it was a match against the Granata on 22 November that reignited their title challenge, as Inter came from behind to seal a 4-2 win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Following the win, the Nerazzurri have not looked back and have gone on to pick up an incredible 50 points from the 57 available in the 19 league games played since.
In comparison, Milan have dropped 11 points during that period whilst Juventus have only squandered eight, but continue to trail Inter in the table.
