Former Udinese and Perugia defender Alessandro Calori believes Inter have built a squad with the perfect blend to win the Scudetto, whilst also praising the influence of coach Antonio Conte.

The Nerazzurri are currently six points clear at the top of the Serie A table and look to extend that lead further against Torino this afternoon, as they battle for a first Scudetto since 2010.

However, Calori felt that Conte’s side was best-equipped to turn their advantage into success and go on to secure the title, whilst also crediting the coach for his ability to improve his players.

“Inter have taken the right path and they have shown the characteristics of their coach,” Calori claimed in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“Antonio Conte worked on Christian Eriksen to bring him back to form, just as Achraf Hakimi and Nicolo Barella have improved so much and become top players.

“Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku are the best strike force in Italy, whilst Alexis Sanchez is also important. Everything is there for Inter to win,” Calori concluded.

The former centre-back spent eight seasons at Udinese from 1991 to 1999 and made 255 appearances for the Zebrette, before moving to Perugia and famously scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Juventus on the final day of the season to cost them the Serie A title.
