Inter Coach Antonio Conte Looking For Eighth Consecutive Victory, Having Won Titles At Juventus & Chelsea With Such Runs, Italian Media Highlight

Inter take on Torino in Serie A this afternoon seeking an eighth consecutive league victory, and in previous roles such runs have led to league titles for coach Antonio Conte.

The Nerazzurri travel to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino with the chance to extend their six point gap at the top of the table, ahead of AC Milan’s visit of Napoli this evening, and have won their last seven fixtures.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, an eighth Serie A win in a row would be a good omen in Inter’s challenge for a first Scudetto since 2010, particularly with Conte at the helm.

The coach led Juventus to eight straight wins in his first season at the club in 2011-12 en route to the Scudetto, before following it up with nine and 12 consecutive victories in his next two seasons, both yielding titles.

Conte also achieved similar success at Chelsea, overseeing 13 wins between October and December 2016 as the Blues sealed the Premier League in his first season at the club.
