As Inter travel to Turin to take on Torino in Serie A later today, the Nerazzurri will be hoping to extend their incredible Sunday afternoon record.
According to FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri have not lost at 3pm CET on a Sunday for almost four years, stretching back to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Genoa in May 2017.
Since then, Inter have played 14 Serie A matches in that time slot and avoided defeat in all, with 11 victories and three draws to show for their efforts.
Inter’s most recent victory in a match kicking off at that time slot came at the end of February, against the Grifone, as an early Romelu Lukaku goal helped the Nerazzurri to a 3-0 win over Genoa.
Prior to that, Antonio Conte’s side had enjoyed a huge victory over AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina by the same scoreline, and the Nerazzurri will be hoping their record continues against the Granata today.
