Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is unlikely to start in today’s Serie A match against Torino after complaining of a minor knee injury.
The Nerazzurri travel to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino this afternoon looking to extend their lead at the top of Serie A to nine points, ahead of AC Milan’s visit of Napoli this evening.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Eriksen has overcome the inflammation in his left knee but coach Antonio Conte is unlikely to risk him and will instead turn to Roberto Gagliardini.
Eriksen will be amongst the substitutes and may feature in the second half, but Gagliardini is also likely to be selected as Conte looks to combat the physicality of Torino in midfield.
Elsewhere, Lautaro Martinez is expected to retain his place in attack alongside Romelu Lukaku, whilst defender Aleksandar Kolarov has recovered from injury and will be included in the squad.
