Antonio Conte’s Inter are winning games like Max Allegri’s old Juventus side at the moment, an Italian media report has argued today.

Inter secured their eighth straight win in Serie A yesterday by beating Torino 2-1, despite playing far below peak level at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

TuttoMercatoWeb admitted that Conte’s Inter played at a much higher intensity than Allegri’s Juventus used to, while there was no tactical comparison because they played different systems.

However, they argued the two teams were similar because they always gave the impression that they would end up finding a way to win – be it with collective play or individual moments – no matter how impressively or poorly they were playing.

Such solidity is difficult to get the better of and no other team currently in Serie A gives the same impression – not even AC Milan, who appeared unstoppable for a time when they sat top of the table.

Inter have made it look like winning is now the natural conclusion to every match for them, the report argued, despite apparently ‘playing worse’ than Torino on Sunday.

Conte’s side are currently sitting nine points clear at the top of the Serie A standings after 27 games played and are widely regarded as favourites to be crowned champions of Italy this season.
