Danilo D’Ambrosio missed Inter’s match away to Torino yesterday due to stomach ache, according to an Italian media report today.
The versatile Italian defender travelled with his teammates to Turin for the match at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino but felt unwell.
The club provided D’Ambrosio with a club car to return back to Milan while the game was being played, as per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition.
The 32-year-old has struggled for regular game time of late, especially in the league with his last start dating back to the end of November.
The Nerazzurri managed to come away from Turin with all three points with them winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Antonio Conte’s side now find themselves nine points clear at the top of the Serie A standings following their latest triumph and have further strengthened their bid to become Italian champions for the first time since the 2010.
