Inter have the second highest-scoring strike partnership in all of Europe’s top five leagues so far this season, according to an Italian media report today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition pointed out that Inter’s strike force of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez have combined for 33 goals in Serie A this season.

Only Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller (41 goals) have managed to outscore the Belgian and Argentine together this season.

Both Lukaku and Lautaro scored in Inter’s 2-1 win over Torino yesterday and this was the eighth time this season that they have both scored in the same game (and the second time against Torino).

This season Lukaku, who has been absolutely prolific since joining Inter from Manchester United in 2019, has 25 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions this season.

Lautaro, who is under contract with the Nerazzurri club until the summer of 2023, has meanwhile scored 16 goals in 37 appearances under Antonio Conte in the 2020-21 campaign.
