Inter are in talks with Nicolo Barella to extend his contract at the club, according to a Spanish media report.
As per TodoFichajes.com, the Italian is subject to interest from several big European sides and Inter wish to avoid any threat of departure by signing him to a new and improved deal.
Inter wish to raise the former Cagliari player’s salary from €2.5 million a year to €4.5 million a year and extend his contract by one year, meaning Barella would be contracted to the club until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Barella is very happy with the role that he has at the Nerazzurri under Antonio Conte and everything suggests that he will sign a new contract with the club soon.
The 24-year-old has been one of Inter’s best-performing players this season and has in fact been ever-present for Inter this season, having made 37 appearances across all competitions.
Barella has scored three goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates during that time.
