Inter coach Antonio Conte wants an expert crosser of the ball to improve the team, according to an Italian media report.

As per CalcioMercato.com, the priority for the Nerazzurri in the upcoming summer transfer window is the signing of a new left wing-back.

Ashley Young’s contract is up and barring any surprises he will return to England and while Ivan Perisic has proven himself to be solid at left wing-back, he is not a refined crosser and Conte wants such a player in order to give his team an extra weapon.

Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri is among the players that Inter are following in this regard, with Conte and the club’s directors essentially searching for a left-sided version of Achraf Hakimi.

Inter have been linked with Emerson for a considerable amount of time and he will be able to be signed for a sum of €20 million from the Premier League side, where he has fallen completely out of favour.

However, the report said Chelsea could be prepared to lower their asking price, given that the 26-year-old is clearly no longer part of their plans and will probably make it clear he wants to leave.
