Inter coach Antonio Conte has turned Lautaro Martinez into a complete striker, at least according to a report in the Italian media.
Corriere della Sera, via FcInter1908.it, have pointed out that Lautaro is more selfless and reflective than he used to be, and perhaps the same can be said of his representatives as well.
Conte has changed everything for the highly-rated Argentine national team striker – as admitted by El Toro himself in an interview last year – who has formed a formidable attacking tandem with Romelu Lukaku during the last two seasons.
Lautaro was not playing regularly under Luciano Spalletti but he has had much more space to shine under Conte since Mauro Icardi left for Paris Saint-Germain.
El Toro scored 14 league goals in all of last season and he has already matched that total after 27 games this season, while he has also gotten better at reducing the number of yellow cards he receives.
The former Racing Club player has been booked only three times this season, with the report going on to conclude that this could be a very important season for him.
Lautaro will soon put pen to paper on a new three-year deal at Inter, as per the Milan-based publication, with his wages almost doubled to €4.5 million annually, while Inter could also remove his release clause.
