Inter have made signing Nicolo Barella to a new contract a priority for themselves, according to an Italian media report today.

As per FCInter1908.it, the Nerazzurri wish to reward their star midfielder with an improved deal given his performances that certainly warrant a pay rise.

Barella is in no rush to have his future sorted and knows that a contract renewal will come, and in all likelihood there will be a meeting at the end of the season to discuss things, hopefully when Inter’s corporate situation is much clearer.

The 24-year-old is already under contract with the club until 2024 and the report goes on to add that he is living one of his two dreams at Inter.

Barella’s first dream was to play for Inter and his second dream is to become the captain of the club, something which will reportedly happen in the future.

This season he has made 37 appearances in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side, in which he has scored three goals and provided 10 assists.
