Inter do not appear to consider Marcelo Brozovic’s contract as a priority issue, according to a report in the Italian media.

The Croatian is a key figure in the Nerazzurri’s midfield under Antonio Conte, having made 33 appearances in all competitions this season.

However, as per Calciomercato.com, there is no sign of Inter discussing a new deal with Brozovic, whose contract expires at the end of next season.

Inter are instead focusing on Lautaro Martinez, whose current deal doesn’t expire until 2023 but is due to sign a one-year extension, with his wages increased to more than €5 million annually plus add-ons.

The lack of movement between Inter and Brozovic, coupled with rumours that the 28-year-old is considering changing his agent, led CM to suggest he might not be considered an untouchable player in future transfer windows.

They nonetheless assured that there was a big difference between saying that and saying Brozovic would be sold.

Brozovic is said to be very happy in Milan and would not be against the idea of remaining there for several years.

If that is to prove the case though, Inter will need to sit down with the midfielder and tie him down to a new longer-term deal.
