Federico Dimarco could be the ideal replacement for Ashley Young at Inter, an Italian media report has argued today.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, Young will most likely leave when his contract expires in the summer and return home to his native England, perhaps to Watford, the club where he started his career.
He could possibly be replaced by Dimarco, who is on a season-long loan at Hellas Verona from Inter and has very much impressed for the Gialloblu this season.
Hellas Verona have an option to sign Dimarco on a permanent basis for €6.5 million, but there could be a gentleman’s agreement for the Gialloblu to send the 23-year-old back to Inter, in return for getting another Nerazzurri youngster on loan.
Dimarco has made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored four goals and provided a total of five assists for Ivan Juric’s side.
