Inter could potentially make another move to sign Napoli’s Dries Mertens this summer, according to a Spanish media report.

TodoFichajes.com noted that the Nerazzurri had already tried to land the Belgian in previous transfer windows and with Mertens not performing to expectations, he is expected to leave when his contract expires in June.

Inter could well make another move for the forward in a bid to bolster their attacking options, but the report warned that they would by no means be the only club in contention for Mertens.

Lazio, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia are all also potential landing spots for the former PSV Eindhoven player, who is valued by Napoli at €15 million.

Mertens has struggled to perform how he has in previous seasons this year, with several injuries having played a part in this.

The 33-year-old has made 26 appearances across all competitions under Gennaro Gattuso this season, in which he has scored six goals and provided seven assists.
