Inter’s spectacular form in Serie A has seen their players’ values shoot upwards, according to an Italian media report today.

Tuttosport’s print edition claimed the Nerazzurri’s first-team squad was now worth a lot more than it was when they exited the UEFA Champions League back in December.

Lautaro Martinez is a prime example of the increase in value, with this report arguing the forward was now worth somewhere between €70 million and €120 million.

El Toro will soon have a new three-year contract finalised, which will see his wages increased to €4.5 million annually plus add-ons, when his representatives meet Inter’s management (once they are all negative for COVID-19).

TS pointed out that Inter had plenty of players in their squad who could guarantee them a hefty profit were they to be sold, with their values almost completely amortised in the club’s accounts.

Marcelo Brozovic, for instance, is now worth just €900,000 in amortised value, meaning Inter would be able to balance the books very nicely if they sold the midfielder for a sizeable fee.

Romelu Lukaku is in a similar position to Brozovic, with the Belgian having a value of €42.5 million in the Nerazzurri’s accounts as things stand.

Christian Eriksen, meanwhile, has seen his transfer value increase to €30 million after his recent upturn in form under Antonio Conte.
