Inter have competition from the Premier League for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, according to a report in the Spanish media.

TodoFichajes.com report that Chelsea have made an approach to the Argentine – who has been linked by a couple of sources this week with interest from the Nerazzurri – to gauge his interest in a move to London.

Aguero ideally wants to return to Spain and is subject to interest from Barcelona, but Chelsea’s interest could well make him change his mind.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel would like to add some experience to his attacking department and Aguero, who has been one of the Premier League’s most prolific goal-scorers in the past decade, is his preferred choice.

The Argentine national team player’s contract with Manchester City is due to expire at the end of this season and it seems as if there is no sign of him agreeing a new deal.

This season the 33-year-old has struggled for game time due to injury, with him having made just 14 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored just three goals.
