Inter appear to have brought an outbreak of COVID-19 at the club under control after all tests undertaken today were returned with negative results.
The Nerazzurri saw their Serie A match against Sassuolo this evening postponed after an outbreak within the squad, with Danilo D’Ambrosio, Samir Handanovic, Stefan De Vrij and Matias Vecino all testing positive for coronavirus.
However, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, fresh tests carried out this morning all came back negative and it appears Inter have avoided a wider outbreak of cases.
Because of this, the club have confirmed that no further tests are required today, and Antonio Conte’s side could return to training on Monday should they post another round of negative results tomorrow morning.
The Nerazzurri’s international players are currently blocked from uniting with their compatriots however, and will remain in Milan.
Inter currently sit top of Serie A going into the international break next week, as they seek a first Scudetto since 2010.
