Inter are expecting a definitive answer on a proposal for a new stadium at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza from the city of Milan by May.

The Nerazzurri have partnered with cross-town rivals AC Milan to develop a project to build a new stadium, but have run into delays with the municipal office of the city.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, mayor Beppe Sala is seeking reassurances that Inter will remain committed to the project should owners Suning complete a sale of the club, whilst also ensuring that the Chinese retail conglomerate have the funds to move ahead with the stadium.

Inter, meanwhile, consider that their ownership situation remains clear and have grown frustrated with what they consider to be lengthy administrative delays.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri hope to see a response to documentation submitted earlier in the year by the end of May, before considering proposals on the table.
