Inter remain cautious and on alert after a series of positive COVID-19 cases at the club over the past week, particularly as they approach a busy period of the season.
The Nerazzurri have endured a troubling week since beating Torino in Serie A last Sunday, with four positive cases amongst players and further positive results amongst staff.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere della Sera, Inter have sought to manage the outbreak as best as they can and all players have been blocked from linking up with national teams during the upcoming international break.
However, the players remain in isolation and could be forced to train remotely until the end of the month, potentially disrupting Inter’s charge towards a first Scudetto since 2010.
Antonio Conte’s side currently sit top of Serie A but face a gruelling fixture list in early April, with games against Bologna, Sassuolo and Cagliari scheduled for 3, 7 and 11 April respectively.
