After a damning statement against Milan city mayor Beppe Sala this week, Inter are growing increasingly frustrated with the delays to the project to build a new stadium.
Partnering with crosstown rivals AC Milan, the Nerazzurri are looking to build a new ground and have been in discussions with the city municipality over planning and funding of the project.
However, continued questions from Sala led to Inter releasing a scathing statement and, as reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang is growing increasingly frustrated with talks over the ownership of the club.
Zhang, via company Suning, is looking to bring investment into the Biscione and has also discussed the potential sale with interested parties, with the municipality of Milan of seeking clarification in January.
Suning believe this was provided at the time and ought to have either been accepted or led to the project being blocked, but instead has led to repeated questions and queries.
Whilst it has been put down to a misunderstanding, Suning feel this has led to further uncertainty and hampered negotiations with potential investors.
