After being rocked by an outbreak of COVID-19 this week, Inter have sought to get the situation under control and have confirmed only one new positive case since Thursday.
The Nerazzurri have been forced into isolation after players Danilo D’Ambrosio, Samir Handanovic, Stefan De Vrij and Matias Vecino all tested positive this week, leading to today’s Serie A match against Sassuolo being postponed.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the daily tests carried out have shown no other players return a positive result for the virus since Thursday.
However, there has been a single case amongst non-playing staff, with an unnamed member amongst the group testing positive and going into a period of isolation following the latest round of tests yesterday.
Inter have sanitised all facilities and await results for further tests carried out this weekend, with the hope of being able to return to training early next week.
