Inter fans should be delighted to have two players like Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez in their team, at least if you listen to their Chile teammate Mauricio Isla.

Sanchez is enjoying an excellent period of late-season form for the Nerazzurri after a difficult first half of the campaign, having now scored five goals and provided seven assists in all competitions.

Vidal is having a far less successful time under Antonio Conte and is now expected to be out for another three weeks after knee surgery last week.

Former Juventus and Udinese midfielder Isla, who now plays for Flamengo in Brazil, told Canal 13 (as quoted by FcInterNews.it): “I have never seen a player like Vidal.

“For me he is the best along with Claudio Bravo, but they have different personalities.

“I am nervous when I play, Vidal is not.

“He can go out, drink, drive around in his Ferrari, and despite this he is still what we all want in the national team.

“He is very contagious, I am a year younger than him and I consider him an idol.”

Isla also commented on Sanchez and admitted that he is a player who always wants to be the best that he can be, and gets saddened when the national team do not do well.

“We get along very well,” Isla assured.

“We will fight for two days, then we embrace and forget everything.

“I love Sanchez.

“He suffers a lot when the national team is bad and when they play badly.

“I tell him to have fun, but he says he can’t.

“It took him a long time to become what he is, he always wants to be the best .

“He has a very good mentality.”

Sanchez will not get a chance to add to his goal tally for Inter until April 3 now, because tonight’s Serie A match at home to Sassuolo has been postponed.

Inter have recovered four positive COVID-19 cases within their first-team squad, along with another unidentified member of their ‘team group’ (which could be a member of Antonio Conte’s backroom staff).
