Inter have turned their attention to the Premier League as they begin planning for the transfer market, with Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Manchester United’s Edinson Cavani emerging as targets.

As reported by The Sun, Aguero is becoming increasingly unlikely to remain at the Etihad Stadium beyond the conclusion of his contract this summer, with coach Pep Guardiola looking to phase him out after an injury-hit campaign.

The Argentina international, who remains City’s record goalscorer, has no intention of retiring but would like to remain with the Premier League leaders.

Should no deal materialise, Inter are ready to make an approach but will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona for the 32-year-old.

Elsewhere, the Nerazzurri are also monitoring Uruguayan forward Cavani, with the former Napoli star’s future still undecided after penning a one-year contract upon joining Manchester United as a free agent last summer.

Cavani has also suffered a frustrating debut season due to injuries, though coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed his happiness with the 34-year-old and there is scope for him to extend his deal.
