Inter are already planning two defensive departures for the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media.

As per Calciomercato.com last night, Aleksandar Kolarov is certain to leave with the Nerazzurri planning not to exercise the option to extend his contract for a second season.

Ashley Young is not guaranteed to follow the Serbian international out of the exit door, with Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio yet to make a definitive decision on the former Manchester United winger’s future.

However, it remains likely that Young will indeed depart, with Watford pushing to re-sign him for next season.

Both players are out of contract with Inter in the summer so it would be up to the club to agree renewals if they decided to keep either.

Antonio Conte has repeatedly reiterated the importance of Inter’s fringe players to their Serie A title bid, but the report noted that those who haven’t been playing much were still the most likely to be offloaded.

Kolarov has made 11 appearances in all competitions during a disappointing debut season in Milan, providing his only assist in a 2-2 draw at home to Parma in October.

Young has played 27 times under Conte this year with two assists to his name, most recently setting up Lautaro Martinez to score at Atalanta, also back in October.
