Antonio Conte has made an ambitious transfer request to Inter’s directors, according to a report in the Spanish media today.

Catalan publication Sport claims Conte has asked the Nerazzurri to sign Isco from Real Madrid, who is thought to be valued at around €20 million.

Isco is out of favour under Zinedine Zidane and is unlikely to renew his deal which expires at the end of next season.

The 28-year-old is therefore potentially set to leave the Spanish capital this summer, with Zidane having lost all faith in him (despite using Isco recently due to injuries to other players).

Inter’s problem in terms of getting a deal for Isco, the report continued, is that they still owe Real Madrid money for Achraf Hakimi, after delaying an instalment of the Moroccan’s transfer fee earlier this season.

Sport said it would thus be ‘tricky’ to reach an agreement for the midfielder, who has made 20 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos this season.
