Arturo Vidal is attracting interest from Galatasaray ahead of next season, according to a report in the Turkish media.

Sporx claim the Super Lig giants are seeking an attacking midfielder after terminating Younes Belhanda’s contract with the club earlier this season.

Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim would prefer a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler, but Vidal is an attractive option because he could potentially join on a free transfer.

The report did not explain why Inter would be prepared to let the midfielder leave for free, with Vidal under contract until the end of next season, but the 33-year-old’s agent Fernando Felicevich is said to already be working on a deal.

Vidal has already drawn links with Marseille in recent weeks after the Ligue 1 side appointed his former Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli as their new head coach.

The former Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus midfielder is currently recovering from knee surgery but his recovery is thought to be proceeding faster than expected, as per reports in Italy this morning.
