Inter have recorded no further COVID-19 cases during the club’s latest round of testing, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport, via FcInterNews.it, said nobody returned a positive test from the swabs taken yesterday, leaving the number of people with the virus at Inter at six.

Four players contracted COVID-19 in the Nerazzurri squad last week – Danilo D’Ambrosio, Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij and Matias Vecino – along with two members of Inter’s ‘team group’, thought to be members of Antonio Conte’s staff.

Inter’s players must remain in fiduciary isolation despite the negative tests, with the exception of those who went off on international duty earlier this week.

Conte’s side will be back in action at Bologna on April 3 and it is plausible that the Inter boss will not have to deal with any COVID-19-enforced absences at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, with the match still 10 days away.
