Antonio Conte has never coached a top-flight team that scored goals as frequently as his current Inter side, a report in the Italian media highlighted today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition pointed out that the Nerazzurri boasted Serie A’s most prolific attack this season with 65 goals in 27 games, an average of 2.4 per match.

Conte’s Inter are therefore scoring goals at a faster rate than his Juventus or Chelsea teams, with his team on course to score 91 goals by the end of the campaign.

Chelsea scored 85 goals in their title-winning season under Conte in 2017 while Juventus never managed more than 80 under his management.

Conte did not have a prolific strike partnership at Juventus, the Rome-based paper highlighted, instead counting upon valid alternatives such as Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal to make up the difference.

Diego Costa and Eden Hazard were his most reliable sources of goals in the Premier League, meanwhile, with the pair netting 20 and 16 times respectively.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are dominating the scene at Inter, with 33 goals between them so far in Serie A.

But Inter have nonetheless scored with 13 different players this season, proving even this team can offer various solutions.
