Lautaro Martinez is ready to sign his contract extension with Inter, a report in the Italian media confirmed today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said the striker was about to put pen to paper on a new deal which would increase Lautaro’s wages to €4.5 million plus add-ons.

There will be no release clause in El Toro’s next contract, which is fixed at €111 million in his current deal.

The 23-year-old is busy preparing for Inter’s next Serie A match at Bologna on April 3 after South America’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers were postponed due to COVID-19.

Lautaro is one of three forwards left at Appiano Gentile with Alexis Sanchez and Andrea Pinamonti, after Romelu Lukaku left for international duty.

Antonio Conte has picked Lautaro and Sanchez up front together on five occasions so far this season, with Inter picking up three wins and losing the other two games (at Sampdoria in Serie A and at home to Juventus in the Coppa Italia).

The Turin-based paper argued both players looked like they were in a good condition, considering their recent performances.
