Romelu Lukaku is the most lethal forward in Serie A this season, as highlighted by a leading Italian broadcaster today.

Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it) recalled how the Belgian was often criticised in the past, especially at Manchester United, for not being ruthless enough in front of goal.

Lukaku has silenced all his critics with the Nerazzurri by posting Serie A’s best conversion rate in the 2020-21 campaign, having so far scored 29.2% of all his shots on goal.

The 27-year-old finds the net once every 3.5 shots, the report explained, putting him just ahead of Atalanta’s Luis Muriel (who has converted 28%) and a long way clear of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (23.4%) and Cristiano Ronaldo (19.1%).

Lukaku is at the peak of his powers under Antonio Conte at Inter, Sky argued, with the Nerazzurri no doubt delighted about the investment they made to sign him in 2019.

The Belgian has banged in 19 league goals in 26 appearances this year, scoring once every 107 minutes and earning 15 points for Inter in the process.
