Inter have identified three key players as being essential to their project and will reject all offers for Romelu Lukaku, Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni.

Antonio Conte’s side currently sit six points clear of AC Milan at the top of Serie A with a game in hand on their city rivals, and the trio have all played crucial roles this season.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have rebuffed any approaches for striker Lukaku, midfielder Barella and centre-back Bastoni and will not even negotiate should any clubs make offers in the summer.

Inter remain optimistic that Conte will at least see out his contract, due to expire in 2022, and hope to be able to build a cycle of dominance centred around the coach and the trio of players, rendering them unsellable.

Similarly, the Nerazzurri consider Barella to be a future captain of the club and are keen to retain him, particularly amongst interest from Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.

Bastoni, meanwhile, has attracted interest from Premier League leaders Manchester City and Lukaku has been linked to Barcelona.
