Christian Eriksen has lifted the lid on some of his keenest music and TV interests away from football.

The Inter midfielder is currently away on international duty with Denmark, who he helped to a 2-0 win in Thursday’s FIFA World Cup qualifier in Israel.

Eriksen is enjoying a second wind under Antonio Conte with the Nerazzurri and was in a relaxed mood as he chatted to Inter TV about how he fills his free time.

Asked what kind of music he listens to, as quoted by FcInterNews.it, the 29-year-old revealed: “I like something that puts you in a good mood, music helps you to go forward.

“I listen to a bit of everything, from pop to R&B.

“Who’s always obsessed with music? Romelu Lukaku always has his headphones on before matches.

“We have a lot of South American music on in the dressing room, which isn’t exactly my genre.

“My first concert was Swedish House Mafia, many years ago; I’d like to go and see Coldplay sometime.

“One genre I don’t listen to is heavy metal, that’s not my thing.

“We Are The Champions, on the other hand, when you hear it coming out of the speakers it means you’ve won something: the last time that happened to me was at Ajax.

“A song I could never leave off my playlist is Wow by Post Malone, I like listening to that before games much like I like Imagine Dragons.

“The word ‘wow’ makes me think of when my family is smiling.

“I also listen to Better by Khalid but not before matches; it’s a more relaxing song and very intimate, with a nice rhythm and lyrics.

“I like Beautiful People by Ed Sheeran as well, my beautiful people are my girlfriend and my children.

“The birth of my second daughter (during the first COVID-19 lockdown last year) was an incredible emotion, in a moment like this as well; we’re very happy.”

Eriksen also discussed some of his favourite series and films, which he admitted to using in a bid to help him learn the Italian language.

“I like a bit of everything: action films, thrillers and comedies,” he added.

“We have a lot of time in hotels during away trips and I tried to watch a few films, like Gladiator, in Italian: everything changes though.

“I’ve watched the Lion King with my son as well.

“My Italian is getting better, I think it’s improving slowly, but it takes time.

“Vikings is a TV series I watch, although given my physique it’s better for me to be living now than back then…

“Another series I like is The Blacklist.

“I like salted popcorn and my favourite film is Law Abiding Citizen.”

Eriksen also revealed he was part of a documentary of his own when he was 13.

“I remember there were lots of other players there,” he recalled.

“It was an initiative for young talents in which we showed off our skills.

“We did it because our coach at the time asked us to take part and we accepted.”

Asked to pick his favourite line from any film, Eriksen picked Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legendary phrase: “I’ll be back.”

Eriksen has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, having nailed down a place in Antonio Conte’s starting XI since a January move away failed to materialise.

His only goal of the campaign so far came in stoppage time during Inter’s Coppa Italia quarter-final victory over AC Milan.
