Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has emerged as a target for Spanish giants Barcelona as they look to reinforce their attacking options this summer.

The Belgium international is the Nerazzurri’s top scorer this season with 19 Serie A goals, as Antonio Conte’s side sit six points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand on AC Milan.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Inter consider Lukaku to be a central figure in their plans and have no intention of selling him unless financial concerns force their hand.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are focusing on Lyon forward Memphis Depay and hope to secure him on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season, giving Inter greater hope of retaining Lukaku.

However, should the Blaugrana fail to negotiate contract extensions for either Lionel Messi or Ousmane Dembele, they may then turn their attention back to Lukaku, or alternatively, Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
