Inter have identified another target at left wing-back ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media today.

FcInter1908.it said the Nerazzurri’s CEO Beppe Marotta was monitoring the progress of Dynamo Kiev’s Vitaliy Mykolenko, a name Inter have been aware of for more than a year.

Antonio Conte wants an alternative to Ivan Perisic on the left-hand side of his 3-5-2 system, despite the Croatian’s impressive upturn in form in recent months.

Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli are also following Mykolenko with interest, who has already played in the UEFA Champions League with Dynamo Kiev this season (in a group featuring Juventus and Barcelona).

Inter considered a move for the 21-year-old last year but the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic prevented Marotta and Piero Ausilio from making a real bid to sign him.

Mykolenko’s agent has already spoken to FCIN1908 about the player, who can also fill in at centre-back as well as on the wing, saying he had ‘an attacking mentality’.

“He’s very strong physically and has good technique, young but with lots of experience already,” Sergiy Serebrennikov said.

“He’s very important for Ukraine and Dynamo Kiev and is already one of the leaders of his team.”
